T42 Memory speed

excuse me for my not perfect english...i'm italian

I want to change Ram of my thinkpad T42 UC2CUIT (dothan 1,8ghz, 1gb ram DDR 333Mhz, 400 Mhz FSB, 80 Gb 5400rpm HD, etc....)

This is possible to install a DDR Ram 400Mhz ?

Want kind of memory can I install also 333 Mhz ddr ram....

You can install DDR400, but it will do absolutely no good. The chipset on the T42 is limimted to DDR333 speed and will run DDR400 at 333.

Save your money and just buy DDR333 (2.5-3-3 timings)

It is, but such an upgrade voids any remaining warranty you have.
