How much for Z60m

#1 Post by TonyH » Sun May 07, 2006 5:33 pm

Hi,
Trying to take over a 3 months old Z60m from a buddy. What would be fair price to pay?
It's just like new.

M760 cpu, 2GHz cpu, 1GB memory, ATI mobile Radeon X600 video,
-11b/g WiFi, 15.4" screen, extended battery(?).
I'll be running Mandriva and XPP dual boot. Will there be any issues with Linux?
TIA,
Tony

linux runs smooth, no problems whatsoever.

that config goes for 1600 on ebay and if you build-it-yourself on lenovo it will cost you 1600+tax both new.

if he has 3 years warranty and the computer is like new id say fair is 1400 maybe

the dual boot will messup the restore function that comes with the computer, dont mess with your partitions if you dont want to loose the restore function that ibm put on the harddrive, on the other hand you gain 5g if you del thiers.

cheers

There is a way to keep the HPA and the functionality of the Access IBM button as well as the restore function if you dual-boot with Linux. Since I boot other OSes off of the 2nd HDD adapter, I don't have to worry about that...But use of the search button here will net you more than a few threads that talk about it various solutions. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
