Hi folks,
I'm really puzzled between models, one with
1.84ghz 1gb 80gb 5400rpm with x1300 and
2.00ghz 1gb 100gb 7200rpm with x1400.
I've ordered the second one because of the HDD but I'm not sure it was a right decision because of the fact that I've heard X1400 generates more heat, and, thus, more fan noise.
Since I'm a noise sensitive person, I really don't want to get a machine like T43 that I suffered from its fan noise.
Please give me your thoughts and experience how much difference it makes bet. x1300 and x1400. I really don't need x1400 since my main purpose is word and things like that. I don't play game and I seldom deal with photoshop and video renderings, although I do occasionally.
Do all you guys with x1400 notice a noticeable noise from your fan, or some of you have cool and quiet ones? Thanks.

Mine(2007-62U) is the same as the one you ordered except the HD is 5400RPM.
I don't see any noise problem with my T60, cool and quiet. The hottest place seems to be the harddrive area, especially when you are copying big files.
