tabook link

#1 Post by The Bard » Wed May 10, 2006 6:34 pm

I used to be able to access the tabook without any problem. Now, with my new T60, I get an "FTP Folder Error" with the following message:

"Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you typed the file name correctly and that you have permission to access the folder."

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.

I don't know why I can't access it. Would you mind e-mailing it to me?

I suppose it could be one of a couple of things.

1) Could be a problem on the server that has Tabook. Nothing you can do about that but wait until they fix it.

2) Could be a problem with your firewall settings.

3) Could be that you are trying to save to a folder on your local computer that has lost it's permissions, or whose permissions do not allow you to save to it. To change permissions on folders located on your computer, follow the procedure in the following thread - except ignore the delete folder part at the end.

1. Go to lenovo.com
2. Search for tabook in the little search box on the top right
3. The results will link you a http page (not ftp) which you should have no trouble accessing.

Just out of curiosity, could you test the FTP link with another FTP client, something other than IE?

IE isn't that good at FTP browsing, that might be the problem.
