European model numbers?
European model numbers?
Is there an european version of the tabook available somewhere?
I'm about to buy aX60s from a Swiss vendor, but the model number in his system does not exist in the tabook (at least, not in the version I've found).
I imagine that the reason may be a different numbering scheme for Europe,
The model number is 1706-5PG. I'll appreciate any help to find out its detailed specs.

Normally, you can handkey in the information on ANY Thinkpad here and get the information on it.
As for the details on this system, I am not finding that any X60s' began with the 1706 prefix. Are you sure about the model/type number?

Yes, I'm sure.
Since I also found no information on this model number, I also thought there was a mistake on the model number I got from the vendor's printout, but if you google for it, there are links to european vendors (for example, www.toppreise.ch) which correspond to the exact configuration I'm asking for.
I also noticed that, in the tabook, the prefix 1706 corresponds only to X60, not X60s.

That was what I was thinking, since it wasn't one of the choices. I just googled it as well and saw the same thing.ahrkron wrote:I also noticed that, in the tabook, the prefix 1706 corresponds only to X60, not X60s.
Yeah, the tabook.pdf that is referenced in the FAQ here is for the US machines only. In my experience the US models end with a U, and european systems had a G.pdudas wrote:I have 1706-8AG.
This model is not in the tabook.
In my opinion there are us and european model numbers.
The 1706-5PG is the first model that I have seen that hasn't shown up in the link that i provided above. Even the 1706-8AG that pdudas listed comes up...but as an X60:
