Help: Headphones have a low AC noise

#1 Post by jhonyl » Fri May 12, 2006 6:04 pm

Hi

When on AC, headphones make a very low AC noise when the laptop is on the desk. When I touch its bottom, the noise stop, when I don't touch its bottom it resumes.

Do you know this problem? Is this a common problem? Is there a solution to this problem?

Bad headphones ... or a bad headphone jack ... or some internal problem. I'd troubleshoot the first item, it's the most likely weak link.

yes .
if u turn up the volume while on AC you can hear a sibilant hiss. most likely interference, static noise.
unfortunatley cheap soundcard components on laptops are the norm, and T4X is no exception.
I reccomend echo indigo card if u want quality audio on your laptop or get headphones with very low impedance so u won't need to turn up the volume much.(hence u wont notice the background noise).
