Chain Mail Attack

#1 Post by Jeremy Tan » Sun May 14, 2006 11:32 am

Sorry, i don't know whether i should post this in the news forum or off topic forum. I feel that there is a need to post this to warn everyone to stay alert.

I had received a chain mail attack this afternoon. It was done by someone who i do not know. This user posted 13 posts within 14 minutes. When i opened my mailbox today, i was shocked to see so many mails from the same person. When i clicked on 1 mail to see what is going on, i saw chain mails. I moved the address to my junk mail. Who knows later in the evening, i received 5 times more junk mails than ever. All from the same sender. I do a quick geolocation check and found out that this cyber offender is a Singaporean. I asked the sender who is he and how come he got my e-mail address. He never reply my mail. ?? May i know what is going on? :?

Do keep a lookout for such offender. If you ever met up with 1, please tell me and i will get a police warrant to hunt him down if he is in Singapore. Thanks

You might want to remove your email address from your profile, and just stick with the PMs here, or give out your email only to those that need it.

Also, can you PM me with the user's ID, so that we can check these 13 posts and the user.

Thanks.
