Any T60 without the WWAN antenna protrusion?

#1 Post by bessel » Mon May 15, 2006 1:07 am

Hi, I am planning on buying a 2623D6U. It only has Bluetooth and a/b/g, no Verizon broadbrand stuff. I wonder if this model would still have the protrusion on the right side of the screen (which according to what I have read here was used as an antenna for Verizon broadband wireless)? It really looks bad to me...

Thanks.

Nope, it doesnt. That is the model i have and its very nice. Just make sure you order up some more memory from Newegg before you get it. 512 in a T60 doesnt cut it.

I intentionally avoided WWAN because I am not in a market where it would be useful, and I didn't want the antenna, either. As stated, non-WWAN models lack the offending protrusion.

I carefully read the spec sheet and purposely ordered my T60 without the EVDO Verizon Antenna, and the fingerprint reader.
Therefore I do not have that ugly antenna on the side of the display nor the fingerprint reader taking up space on the palm rest. A much cleaner look and I did not pay for 2 items I would not use.
