X40 Wireless LED: Does it work with the IBM b/g (Intel2200)

#1 Post by stinkypete » Tue Aug 03, 2004 7:15 am

Hello!

Just wondering if the wireless LED on the panel works with the IBM/Intel 2200 b/g wireless card.

The a/b/g card on IBM's site specifically says it supports the LED but the product page for the b/g does not state this.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply. I once had a non-IBM branded Intel 2200 and the light did not work.

IBM makes it so only certain cards (branded by them) will work. I managed (not easiliy) to get the Intel 2200 to work but the front panel LED was not working...

I will look into buying the IBM/Intel 2200 card...

You should install the driver ( intelpro220BG) supplied by IBM to work LED. My laptop LED is working as though I use a non IBM wireless mini pci lan.
