Well, there's always alt.sysadmin.recovery... It can be fun, but not sure that's the kind of forum you're looking for.

No, Im looking for a forum like this but has topics relating to Net/Wan Admin, Desktop support professionals. Delphiforums "Comport" has something close, but deals mostly in PC games, newbies, news. It used to pretty good years ago.

If you are looking for a site to find answers to your questions to to ask others for help, your best bet is http://www.experts-exchange.com.

Go check it out and tell me what you think.

I'd love to see what others are recommending, too...

It seems alright I guess, just looking for a forum thats not so $ driven more people/tech driven, perhaps a simplified version also. Sighning up makes it seem like you have to pay min $9 per month to use it. I hate the idea of having to pay for us techs to talk to one another and help each other out. Be nice to be able to log onto one forum and be able to talk about personal stuff(news, weather, cars, new technology) and professional stuff(tech questions and info, alerts, warnings, evaluations).

Thanks for the link though, I'll give it a shot for a while.

It's a really great site for getting your questions answered very quickly and tailored more specifically for your needs. No it's not a forum site that you can hang out on but it's one for getting help quick.

By the way, you don't have to pay to use Experts-Exchange. Whenever you ask a question, you assign "points" to the question. If you pay for an account, you get a whole bunch of points--if you just use the free account, you are still able to view all the responses to other questions and ask questions yourself whenever you have accumulated some points (get like 5 a day).

I've yet to find another site with more knowledgable people on it.

However, I am also looking for a site you describe. Hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on a good forum site.
