#1 Post by Béèm » Tue May 16, 2006 2:21 pm

I had to boot from CD on my R40 and in startup I saw a boot device IBA 4.1.07 slot 0240

What kind of device is this?

That is your network card. You can disable it if you don't want it to try if something else breaks.

Thank you,

I suppose you mean the ethernet card and not the firewire card.
I had hoped it was an USB device.

So subsidary question: Can the R40 boot from a USB device, being either a USB harddisk or a USB stick?
(I have reserved 4GB of my Zen micro as USB data device and would like to boot from it)
