R51 - motherboards compatibility ?

Hello,

I have got motherboard ( FRU 93P3784 ) from R51 ThinkPad ( 1829-9MG ). Its working ok except USB ports.
I found R51 ThinkPad ( 2888-47G) on ebay with faulty motherboard (93P4201) . Could it be possible to put my motherboard in faulty R51 from ebay ?

FYI, the IBM R51 hardware reference manual shows that 14" display models and 15" display models use the same size system board, so size shouldn't be an issue. There should be a firewire connector on the "working" system board, but not on the dead one, so I'm not sure if you can pop out a blanking plate to use it or if will just be covered.

Bottom line, it looks like it should work.
