A matter blown out of all proportion by Edwin Black and his ridiculous book. Another coincidence embraced by conspiracy theorists.

Watson (predecesor to IBM) sold their Hollenrith Tabulators to governments everywhere for use in census calculations, precisely what they were developed for. They had no control over how those governments ultimately used the machines.

Nor was there anything "illegal and immoral" about US companies conducting business with Nazi Germany prior to the official declaration of war between Germany and the USA.
