IBM screwed up my Sanyo/Sony battery return, but...

I had posted a few times before noting how fantastic IBM's thinkpad customer service was. Well, today I found a UPS box waiting for me at my door - apparently IBM rejected the Sanyo battery I returned when I exchanged for a Sony - the FRUs didn't match so they sent it back to me.

So I called the customer service number included, and when I gave them my claim number, it sounds like they had already discovered their mistake and had authorized a return for the Sanyo battery. They're shipping me a new Airborne label this week.

It's good to know that even when they something does go wrong, they're still extremely fast, polite, and even proactive about getting it fixed.
