IBM USB keyboard with Ultranav stopped working with Dock II

#1 Post by billj32 » Fri May 19, 2006 10:02 pm

My IBM USB keyboard with Ultranav stopped working with Dock II no longer inputting letters using my T40p closed in the Dock II. It has worked fine for a couple of years and now suddenly will not show letters typed in through the remote keyboard. If I open the T40p while in the docking station, it shows letters typed into the laptop keyboard and everything else plugged into the Dock II works. Any ideas on the problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Sounds like the USB keyboard has gone kaput. Any other USB devices to compare with?

You might also check DEVMGMT.MSC and see if the USB HID (input device) is being recognized.

Thanks for the reply. I agree that the keyboard probably seems to be defective. Everything else on the Dock II seems to be working fine. I will order another one.
