What a natural interface considering when I use a Mac I'm inclined to hit it anyway!

I want to see their lcd-screen/lids after 2 years of hitting them.
Think of Arnold Schwarzenegger ... he would need a reinforced one

Yeah, it is cute for about a week; then it becomes something that you start to laugh at or wouldn't consider because, over time, it could damage the hardware.

I can just think of it, a new term for percussive maintenance...

It's probably not a good idea, in the T4x forum, there is a thread about how to build a roll-cage to protect the "sensitive" system board. Do you think constant slapping would void the warranty?!

Never occured to me but it could create the kind of floppy display I've got on this X20 here. No idea why it's floppy either. Anywho whacking a piece of technology is a bad metaphor for people to learn. They do enough of it already.

I am sure slapping your notebook is no good idea. The hard drive will remember this, there is a reason why there is this sensor on board.

HOWEVER: I would gladly accept this slapping feature as subsitute for my CTRL-ALT-DEL-Power-Switch-Off-whatever when I am experiencing a frozen Blue Screen of Death.
