Adding Ram to a T60

#1 Post by Mantra1318 » Thu May 25, 2006 5:36 pm

Hello, I had purchased a T60 recently and it came with 512ram. When I ordered it I had another 512 stick of ram sent with the laptop. I have never put ram in a laptop before, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to do it, specificallyfor a T60 or send me to a website that would inform me of the procedure to be taken.

Thanks for the help

You'd do well to post these kinds of questions in the T60 forum. ;)
2668-75U T43, 2GB RAM, 2nd hand NMB kybd, Dock II, spare Mini-Dock, and spare Port Replicators. Wacom BT tablet. Ultrabay 2nd HDD.
2672-KBU X32, 1.5GB RAM, 7200 rpm TravelStar HDD.

I'm assuming any brand of memory would work in the second slot. I'm seeing 1Gb of Corsair memory 40-60 S$ cheaper than what Lenovo is offering for 2Gb on a 2007-72A and I'm thinking of getting that instead of going with Lenovo's offer of a Kingston memory stick.

Yes, any brand will work. Be sure to run a memtest after you install to make sure the memory is good.
