LPT1 failure in diagnostics?

#1 Post by Orca » Sat May 27, 2006 2:02 am

Folks, I have a T60p (2623DDU). In the diagnostic tools of the Rescue and Recovery section it passes all the tests except for one - the LPT1 port test. Other than this, everything passes and the machine runs great.

As far as I remember, LPT1 is a wide printer port that this machine does not have, so maybe this test is not applicable. But what if it is? What if there's actually something wrong about this sweet machine?

Could anybody shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.

Just guessing here -- there's an LPT port on the Advanced Dock, and one also available for the ultrabay. Perhaps the diagnosic only works correctly when the port physically exists in one of those two places.
Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
