question about retrobox.com....

#1 Post by sunkssss » Sat May 27, 2006 1:52 pm

i just recently purchased a t40 (2374-FU0) from the people at retrobox (only $370, should i feel lucky yet?) and i was wondering what their service and quality was like so far, purchasing from them has been quick and painless, but does anybody know what they are like when it comes to delivering items as described and returning items within their stated time?

any comments or feedback would be appreciated....

sincerely,
sunkssss

If you search the board for "retrobox", I am sure that you will read quite a bit. There are mixed reviews on them. Some have received almost perfect systems, others received substandard equipment. What was their rating on it?

i just wanted to post an update, saying that i received my t40 from retrobox without a hitch. although the my order took a while to finally be shipped, what i got was more than i bargained for, considering that the laptop had been listed as "B - in good condition" but arrived in great condition and with only a minor hairline crack in the palm bezel. otherwise the screen is bright with no faded spots or dead pixels, and the hardware altogether was in excellent condition.

note: the packaging of the laptop was my only woe, and i'm quite glad that it bounced around it's "spacious" room by itself without anything else to collide with.

Congrats!! Atleast the paml bezels are cheap....pick one up and you'd have a "perfect" laptop. :)
