Battery Maximiser Problems

#1 Post by dalee18 » Thu Aug 05, 2004 11:37 am

I got my new T42 on tuesday and promptly did a clean windows install. I've now reinstalled the battery maximiser utility, but it does not seem to be working correctly. It has no predefined schemes and I am unable to add a new one. I go through the process to create a new scheme but it never shows up in the list. Also, it's lowering the cpu speed even when on ac power. Help! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Grrrr.

Overall, I'm very happy :) This is one of my two annoyances so far.

i had a similar problem. try this. (assuming you are using an account other than the default "administrator", for example my username that i use was my first name). with battery maximiser installed.

restart the machine and log in as "Administrator".
are the schemes there now? if so then this is what happened to me and continue on.
uninstall battery maximiser while logged on as administrator.
restart
log on as Administrator again.
install battery maximiser and restart
log in as you now. work?

take into consideration before doing this i did lots of registry editing and so forth so YMMV.

hope that helps.
