Is this cleanable? Hair trapped in LCD

#1 Post by Cuda » Mon May 29, 2006 1:44 pm

I just noticed what looks like a hair or something trapped in the bottom of the LCD on my T23, I tried tapping at it and gently shaking at the same time and it didn't budge, is it possibe to remove the LCD cover and clean it? It's starting to bug me. Here is a pic I took of the offending matter.

Here we go again.

No, there isn't much you can do aside from replacing the LCD.

Check out this thread and this thread.

Thanks for the quick reply, I tried searching but for some reason the search function wasn't working at the time, my T23 isn't under warranty anymore so getting it replaced wouldn't apply I assume. I can live with it as it's at the bottom of the screen and not in the middle. And aren't these things assembled in "clean" rooms? How does a hair get back there anyway?

The innards of the LCD work similar to your lungs. If something liquid or small gets near the edges, it will draw it in.

As for the other thread being locked...it was the direction that the conversation was headed.
