Is X60s palmrest cooler than X60 palmrest when in use?

Is X60s palmrest cooler than X60 palmrest noticeably?

The heat-generating element under the palmrest is the wireless card(s). So it doesn't depend on whether its a X60 or X60s, it depends on whether it's the Intel or Atheros WiFi card, and whether there is also a cellphone card.

As previous poster mentioned, Intel card should be cooler. Overall the X60s will run cooler thanks to the LV processor, although not necessarily under the palm rest.
Have used just about every ThinkPad since the T42 days...

Thats not what I heard. I heard that the Atheros cards are cooler.

Unfortunately I can't speak to scientific readings, but in general the Intel card is better known for power management; hence its sometimes less than optimal performance.
Have used just about every ThinkPad since the T42 days...
