WTB: a brand name 512 MB memory for T43

#1 Post by alexzabr » Thu Jun 01, 2006 11:19 am

My new T43 is in the mail, expected to show up next week.
Standard configuration - 512 MB memory on board.
I'll be willing to purchase another 512 MB, preferrably by known brand (Crucial, Corsair, Kingston). It is 533 MHz PC-4200 type.

Would prefer to deal with fellows here rather then Ebay this time.
I'll be ready to purchase immediately upon getting my Thinkpad and checking it up working.

Thanks in advance, Alex

Aw, shucks

In all seriousness, I have 512MB Elpida here:

These were pulled from T43 laptops and ARE GUARANTEED to work in your system.

EDIT - and for those that do not know who Elpida are, they are one of 2 Japanese companies that make computer memory (the other being Nanya). Their memory is EXTREMELY expensive stuff and that is why you will rarely find it Dells, Compaqs, etc.

Since the transition to Lenovo, I've seen less and less Elpida in the laptops and more Samsung and Hynix (still good stuff, but I'm sure it doesn't cost them as much).

Thanks, sounds good, though never heard such brand. But if you say this, must be good stuff.
How much for 512 MB stick (you may want to PM me, or just respond here) ?

Please PM me. The price is $35 shipped (even to Israel - just takes a little longer).

In addition to having told you to check with him, I will personally vouch for Brent and his product. Three thumbs up! AAA+++
