Color Thinkpads?

Is it that IBM is comping out with different colored Thinkpads? I read this is in a post earlier, but wasn't sure if it is true. If they are coming out with colored Thinkpads, does anyone know when they are coming out and what colors they will have? Thanks!

I sure hope not, that'd be quite tacky...if you want that, go for an alien or hypersonic pc laptop

No, this was a rumour, IBM released a press statement earlier this year, I think a couple of months ago, stating that they are staying BLACK. Thinkpads were always aimed at the business market, and for several reasons they designed them black, and as far as I know they are staying black.

I think the black Thinkpad is a piece of minimalist art. Anyone agree with me? The design is just an instant classic, like a black business suit.

classic..

BUT, i have always wanted to sell a Bill Signature Series thinkpad..
midnight blue with a gold medallion with the owners initials..

and the IBM logo would be replaced with a gold IBM logo and "thinkpads.com" in place of thinkpad..

the color would, of course, be called "BIG BLUE"..

what'cha thinka THAT thought..
