600X: 800X600 does not work

#1 Post by Drewski » Fri Jun 02, 2006 9:45 pm

I recently tried to go into 800X600 mode, but it doesn't seem to work. When I enable 800X600 mode in any color depth, it won't take up the whole screen, there are black borders around the desktop. I tried the troubleshooter but it didn't help. Does anyone know how to get 800X600 to work?

Sounds perfectly normal to me.

If you want the whole screen to be used at 800x600 you need to enable screen expansion in Thinkpad Configuration. Click on LCD and you'll see the option.

Anything less than the native resolution of the LCD looks pretty bad however.

I guess that was a simple fix! Thanks a lot. :)
