For those considering the 8 cells battery

I defenitely recommend getting one.

I took my X60 yesterday at work without the AC adapter thinking hould have enough bettry time with my 8 cells battery fully charged.

I did only Word/Browsing and such kind of stuff, Bluetooth off (BT is a batery sucker really ;), and TFT at the minimum which let me work alright.

Worked hours. Maybe 5-6 hours. Came home and it would tell me I had still 3 hours battery time. :shock:

My X60 is a little heavier now but heck I love it even more :D
It also fits well enough (it just fits) in my Crumpler protection so I'm really happy.

TP X60 +UBX6 +dvdrw slim + floppy + 8cells battery

I have a "moderate embarassement" and it is just nice (I have a 4 cell attached to my X60)
X41, bought Nov. 05 - Stolen March 06.
X60, bought April 06.
