If it only were that easy...

I think you will notice that most T4xp owners, like to stick with their "performant" ThinkPad :)

T41P

#6 Post by milesrbruce » Sat Jun 17, 2006 11:52 pm

I have a T41P, the price is $1,500.00. Machine has no time on it at all. I purchased it for work, and then was supplied a laptop from my company.
Machine has 1 gig ram, 60 Gig 7200 RPM drive, 14.1 monitor and has roughly two years left on IBM warranty. Machine has the original install of Windows XP. The machine has only been on the internet. No scratches, etc. I was supplied a HP from work, which is not HALF the machine the IBM is. I have owned three Dell notebooks over the years, and I will say the IBM is hands down the best laptop I have ever seen.
Email if there is any interest. I could take some pics and email to you if there is any interest.

$1500's a little too much for a T41p. It's worth about $1300. Because of the warranty. And that's if it has a 9-cell.

t42 but not a t42p

It's not a T42P but a T42.

850, winner takes all. Fully loaded plus extras. (extra 9 cell battery, 2 gigs ram, 80 gb hard drive, Thinkpad mouse (it's black with a red glowing scroll wheel) and a thinkpad padded bag)

850 and it's yours! :)

Does IBM's warranty cover batteries and keyboards?

Keyboards are covered by IBM's normal 1-3 year warranty. Batteries only have a 1 year warranty.

Batteries up to 1 year after the manufacture date and keyboards are good for the length of the warranty itself.
