After seeing the picture in this article, the first thing that came to mind was [redneck verbal accent]"You might be a redneck airport operator if your control tower had wheels on it at one time..."[/redneck verbal accent]

Nothing surprises me anymore! We spend a million bucks per missile and then we have no money for a temporary structure that is up to code.............the irony.

We're getting a new tower at KOFF - right next to the old one, so that they can continue using the old one until the new one's ready!

What do you suggest? Tear down the existing one now and then close the airport until the new one is ready?

They'll build the new one and then disassemble the old.

Removal of the old Miami Air Traffic Control Tower began last week with the removal of the cab.
