Hardware Volume Buttons

#1 Post by jhaen » Tue Jun 06, 2006 6:03 pm

Sorry if this already been asked but I can't find the post. The volume buttons above the keyboard emits a very loud "beep" when the volume is being set. Can this "beep" be turned off? Many thanks :?:

Interesting. I do not have that behavior with the hardware volume buttons on my T42. I do hear that with the Windows Volume Control in the notification area.

I believe I saw this solution posted recently for a similar problem. Go to Device Manager, choose View > Show hidden devices. Expand Non-Plug and Play Drivers, double-click on Beep and disable device.

Hope this works for you.
