How to create a return point prior to drivers update ?

#1 Post by alexzabr » Thu Jun 08, 2006 1:28 pm

I'm downloading certain updated drivers for my new T43 of IBM site, would like to create a system return point prior to their installation, just in case things will go wrong. How to do that ?
14.1" T43 2668-6ZU machine.
ATI x300, 1GB RAM, 40 GB HDD, all the connectivity (except of Bluetooth), DVD/CD-WR Combo...
Still excited about this great machine...

You can use the BM R&R system to make a backup or you can create a Windows Restore Point.

Simply make a backup, that you overwrite incrementally when you check out that the latest driver install didn't break anything with IBM R&R.

You can also use the System Restore Wizard (Start>Help and Support>Performance and Maintenance>Using System Restore to Undo Changes>Create a Restore Point.

That should create the latest restore point for your system.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
