Memory Frequency

hi,
i have just upgrade a new memory slot,
and found out the memory frequency 266mhz. Should it be 400mhz for T43, shouldn't it?

Actually it should be at 533mhz since it's DDR2.
What is 266mhz x2?

Physical speed & apparent operating speed are different for DDR2.

yeah, i just wonder whether my friend had been cheated with this, the vendor said that this is a DDR2 ram, but the frequency that shown in the picture is actually 266mhz.

No, the ram is working perfectly.

yeah, i know the RAM is working perfectly,
but it looks like it is not running as the clock speed that DDR2 suppose to be.

Once again, What is 266mhz x2 ????? (answer is 533mhz)

DDR2 runs at an OPERATING FREQUENCY of 266mhz, but an EFFECTIVE FREQUENCY of 533mhz.

I'm not sure if I can state this any clearer...maybe you should google DDR2 and read up on how this stuff actually works.
