Well, you need one with an X60, so which brand?

IMB, Plextor, or . . . . ?

I built an external DVD-RW myself using an NEC slim drive and putting it into a 5.25" slim external enclosure. Works pretty well, but is slower than laptops with built in optical drives.

You can run it off USB for watching a DVD and copying files, but if the disc needs to spin much over 1-4x you have to use the AC adapter for the extra power needed.
