unable to create recovery media

#1 Post by kulivontot » Mon Jun 12, 2006 1:43 am

I've had my laptop for about 2-3 months now and I'm trying to create recovery media in case I somehow break the service partition by installing extra partitions (Which I have done once already). However, once I try and create the media I get the error message "An internal error has caused this process to fail." After having searched the message board, I see that you should only be able to do this process once per machine, or something to that effect. However, I've never attempted to make recovery media before. I've reinstalled Rescue & Recovery several times, and there is no change. Any idea how to remedy this?

Contact IBM and tell them about it. If you are still in warranty they will probably send you a set.
