Solution to the high pitched sound

1. F1 at bios setup

2. go to config

3. change power settings

4. On batter, change from automatic to "maximum battery" or 'battery optimized"

5. save and restart

6. Now if you change to maximum performance in windows, you will hear a slight high pitched whine but if you use max batter or any other setting, then you won't get the whine.

Alternative, you can go to power manager settings and click global settings. After that, clicked the advanced tab and select "disable" CPU power management, I am not sure how much this will cost battery life but at 60%, I had a good 2h20mins.
