TripleHead2Go + t60P

#1 Post by Thesp » Thu Jun 15, 2006 3:30 am

Right. More saga about my T60p and multimonitoring. I've given up on the idea of triple multiple monitors with a graphics card in the dock and the onboard card...

...so I'm now looking for other solutions.

Has anyone had experience with the Matrox TripleHead2Go?
http://www.matrox.com/graphics/offhome/th2go/home.cfm

It claims compatibility with the FireGL 5000
http://www.matrox.com/graphics/offhome/ ... bility.cfm

so should work with the FireGL5200 in my T60p, no?

The Dualhead2go works by splitting a 3840 x 1024 output from the graphics card into 3 monitors, each of 1280x1024.

Does the t60p support this mode as an output on the VGA connector? I thought there was a maximum...

Has anyone had any experiences with this device?

all the best,

t

I don't have any personal experience with this, but there have been a few articles about it on the web. This particular review gets pretty in-depth about it. Bottom line: works great, but you're stuck with the limitations of an analog display.

It will NOT work with the V5200

As the title says. It will only support 800x600 (for a total of 2400x600) on the V5200. Speaking from personal experience. Tried everything even calling tech support. Get the Advance Dock and another video card and use UltraMon.

It will work, as Xaveon says at 800x600 per monitor (Ok for games, bit large for other apps).

I have on here on a T60p with the Advanced dock.. Bit of a dissapointment really..

IF only the Advanced dock would support better graphics cards.
