Transfering HD Info
Im currently running windows xp and made a image from acronis true image and was wondering if when i install windows 2000 and try to reinstall the backed up files if they will work with the different OS? thanks

From the TI Manual:
Once you install W2K, the XP image can be used in the above described fashion to copy data files only to the new installation.To browse and restore individual files, Acronis True Image can connect images as virtual drives, thus letting you access them as though they were a physical drive. This means that:
• A new disk with its own letter will appear in the drives list
• Using Windows Explorer and other file managers, you will be able to see image files as if they were located on a physical disk or partition
• You'll be able to find necessary files or folders in order to copy them from the virtual disk to the real one
The connected virtual drive will be read-only and you won't be able to change anything within it.
