I just want to post this in case it happens to anyone else. Tried to make recovery CD's the first day and got "unable to find files to create recovery CD's". I was able to create the single "rescued and recovery cd though.
Thought it might have been a botched install so I hit F11 at boot up and let it go through the new factory install. Finished that and tried again, same result. Downloaded all the latest software with software installer and flashed the latest bios 1.06, tried again, same result. Called tech support, Atlanta and said "wazzzup"! Tech support guy said "that happens sometime and we are not sure why" and I'd be getting a set of CD's in the mail next week.
I can live with this because I'd rather have the factory set anyway.
I hope no one else has this. Everything else so far is perfect and beyond expectations.
This is a keeper and I recommend it.
