Quite nicely (especially since I was playing on the 9600 previously). I would expect that it would be very playable on the x1400 as well, depending on your image quality needs.

would it be fair to say that the v5200 will be able to run bf2 at high while the x1400 @ medium in native 1400x1050 resolution?

I doubt it. Not much plays well at 1400x1050. In addition to the GPU load, one gets a good amount of tearing because of the frame buffer size. VSync compensates but you loose framerate as a result.

I can play CS: Source at native resolution and it's not too bad, but I set the newer games at 1024.

I tried to fire up BF2 to let you know what settings I run with but it doesn't seem to be working. If I can get it fired up I'll report back.

Why spend time trying to class what cards will run the game at what resolution? Just fire the game up and test each permutation and combination of settings and see which one you like best.

BF2 runs well on it. I think I run it at 1024 x 768.

BF2 name: smoothone9 on BF2. Happy gaming.
