hi!

my ibm x40 seems to be very quiet comparing to apple's powerbook G4.

a friend of mine who owns a powerbook can watch movies much louder than me. is there anything wrong about my notebook?

I already increased the volume in the control panel and on the notebook itself.

I own both a X41 and a PowerBook G4. The speakers on the PowerBook are definitely better than the X41, both in terms of volume and quality. I don't think anything's wrong with your X40.

I might also note that the speakers on the Ultrabase for the X4x are a bit better than on the notebook itself, but still much worse than the PowerBook G4.
