T41 display power management

#1 Post by trycage » Mon Jun 19, 2006 4:24 am

I own a thinkpad T41 and I have some display power management issues. In few words, after few seconds I stop to type on the keyboard the display change brightness, going to "black" for 1-2 seconds. I'm not able to exclude the display from the power management, even if i set "never turn off" for the monitor and i disabled the graphic power management.

I found some similar topic for the T43 no-any of the proposed solution worked for me (In the specific I have no power management of refresh rate to set).

Thanks very much.....
all the best.

Try.

A drastic step, but a reinstall of the Operating System should fix it, that is unless you have a hardware problem (which I doubt).

If this is a recent problem, you may be able to use Windows System Restore to go back to a time when your computer was working properly. Go to Start > Help and Support > Pick a task > Undo changes to your computer with System Restore.
