Speakers?????????

#1 Post by njcs » Mon Jun 19, 2006 6:07 pm

I like to listen to music sometimes without headphones. According to tabook the z61t, z61m and the T60 all have the same speakers, but I have been reading otherwise. How does the loudness between these three compare????

Don't think so - the Z series has 4W max output I think whereas T series has 2W max output. I have listened to music (but mainly talk radio) with both sets of speakers and Z is much better but T is still very audible in normal conditions.

I would never personally use such a thing as a buying decision between these 2 quite different systems but it might be worth considering an external speaker system - i connect up to my ipod speakers when there is a lot of background noise. I'm looking at the more general ll28 NXT speakers from logitech for my next set which are very portable and give a 6W output.

Not to mention with the T series the speakers are pointing down (or from the bottom) while the Z series has the speakers pointing up (from the sides of the keyboards).

I've got a Z60m and while there's not much bass, I think they are better than the T series, for what it's worth...

Primarily because the Z is more of a "Media" oriented system; the T Series is stilll more Business oriented, hence the slight difference in speakers. :)

She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

of course I didnt pick the Z over the T just because of speakers. As a college student I think the widescreen, cardreader, firewire, and saving a couple hundred is an overall better choice.
