#1 Post by Huang Zhong Wei (Brandon) » Tue Jun 20, 2006 3:42 am

This morning while i got up to surf this web site, i discovered that my pet parrot passed away. It is not breathing.

It passed away and i am not there to accompany her.
Yesterday night, it fell ill then suddenly it is dead. :-(
I am very sad. Anyone of you had the same experience when your fav pet passed away? My heart is broken. :-(

We're not really bird lovers and don't have any. Some years ago, though, in the winter, a budgie was sitting on the back step looking pretty cold. We opened the door and it hopped into the house. It had a band (but we could never trace it), and it had been trained to come to your finger. We got a cage and stuff. We could leave the cage door open all day and it would lie on the open door like bed. It was pretty old when it arrived, and a couple of years later it died of old age. It was fun to have while we had it, and then never got another one. So I can sympathize with your loss. ... JD Hurst

I don\'t rear birds but dog. I used to have 1 dog named Milo. Milo is a very nice dog, not those bushy types. It is very adorable and active. It has been with me for more than 7 years, i did not leash it because it will always walk beside me and wait for my commands. One time, i bring it out and i also don\'t know why it chased after a bird or something, it zoomed off very fast and i chased after it. Then suddenly, bang. 1 taxi knocked my dog over and and...  blood spilled everywhere and it\'s eyes is still wide open and it is struggling to stand up. After a few minutes, Milo\'s eyes began to close and he passed away like this.

It had been 1 year till now. From that day onwards after Milo passed away, i did not want any more pets. Because losing them made my heart broke and ... It took me 10 months to fully recover and get back to my old self. As i read this thread, it took me back to my sad days again.

I understand how all pet lovers feel after the death of their favourite pets.

*As i am typing this, my eyes began to filled up with tears*
Sorry. I can\'t accept the death of Milo.

while out on his ranch, riding with his daughter, ronald regan came upon one of his horses that had died..
as he knealt near the deceased mare his daughter (patti davis) asked him why he was smiling..
he answered that he was remembering all the happy times that horse and he had experiences through the years they had together..

with that, i will lock this thread..
