Do you think that this CPU could handle Vista?

Yes, Yes I think it could....

It was a long while since IBM pioneered the use of Germanium/Silicon Mixes in special semiconductors, and they are still on the bleeding edge.

I can now dream of the day where I show up at an Intel vs. AMD flamewar and blow them all away with the Future IBM Power processor.

It runs at 500GHz only at near absolute zero temperature. At room temperature it only runs at 300GHz. I am not sure if it will be able to run Vista. I can be certain that it will handle Win3.1 though.

You may want to invest in liquid nitrogen cooling system to run this transistor fast enough for Vista. :P :P

A comparable quantity of Liquid Nitrogen is cheaper than the same amount of beer you know; it is also fun to "cook" various food objects with. :)

As hard as it is to think of, I am sure somebody out there will come up with a bloated enough application or OS that can suck up enough of that CPU to make it seem like a 1GHz system.

Perhaps an OS coded entirely in Java and many variants of XML, perhaps some useless AJAX extensions, integrated Google Search engine and minimal (read: near useless) word processor that requires you be connected to use, Ads *direct* to the desktop to expose the user to more "content" (yeah, crap can be classified as content too)....We might be halfway there already and I don't anybody is even trying. :0

Hmmm, have to be able to run Vista...maybe two heavy coats.
