Any way I can run the no-1802 hack without a floppy or cd?

My fear came true, when I tried to install an Atheros mini-PCI wifii card in my X30, I got the dreaded 1802 msg.

Since I don't have an external cd or floppy, is there a way I can run the no-1802 hack?

Anyway I can run it off a bootable USB thumb drive?

You could try that; the Live environment it needs isn't that large; especially if you have a USB stick that is larger than a CD. It should run the same as it doesn't depend on the boot media, just that is able to boot and access the hardware.
