Have udated BIOS...The Bios update now allows me to boot from CD...clean install of XP pro...all drivers downloaded everythings working smoothly...BUT
When i type @ i get " and vice versa...the rest of the letters seem to be ok..searched these forums and can't find the answer.
Can't find any settings anywhere to change anything.
Just a bit of a pest having to double check everything i type.
Any ideas?

Here's another thought for you - it may not be the BIOS, but the keyboard driver/layout in Windows.
Case in point: some time after I bought my 600, I discovered that to get an apostrophe ('), I had to hit the key twice, and then the computer would change the two apostrophes to a quote mark (").
It didn't do this originally, and seemed to start the behavior out of the blue.
At the time, I was running Windows 98 (First Edition). I lived with it for a while, and then for some reason found myself looking at the keyboard properties in Control Panel when I noticed that the layout wasn't set to United States. I set it back to U.S. layout, and it's been fine ever since.
I never figured out why it changed on me, but Windows being Windows, it might be worth checking your keyboard settings in Windows - you might find your layout isn't what you think it is.
