just noticed today that my T42p has a dead pixel :( how can I get rid of that? :( can I "rub" it somehow?

WHAT?? Do dead pixels just show up one day? i thought they were a permanent feature.. and i didn't know u could rub them off =)
well anyway, congratulations on getting rid of the dead pixel!

Well it was probably just dust or something on the screen.
Dead pixels generaly don't just get rubed away.

They can only get "rubbed" away in very rare and isolated instances when a pixel unit may have static issues or poor conduction for some manufacturing reasons. Not likely to work, but there's a chance it may. I had a single thoroughly dead pixel (not a video artifact, which happens from time to time) for 2 weeks until the first time I rubbed the screen to clean it with a damp cotton towel. It somehow "massaged" back to life :shock:

My first T-42 had a stuck pixle, that was the first time I heard about "rubbing" the pixles back to life. It sounds like this has happened with several T-4x owners! :D
