Is X24 too old?
Is X24 too old?
Is the X24 too old with it's P3M to run OSX?
It is specific to the instruction set....
All the online guides state something about SSE2 and SSE3. I'm just trying to find out if my system runs on any of these two, because they seem to be a prerequisite.
Found it..
This site gave me all the info I needed:

its not the name either. The processor has to support the SSE2 and/or the SSE3 instruction sets. At the time i am writing this, 10.4.8 new kernel discs only support SSE3, so stay away from those. Additionally, make sure to install any SSE2 patches that are in the customize menu of the install dvd.Rosannafe wrote:I don't think so..from what I learned it's not so much the speed that is the issue as so much the chipset architecture. Has to be P4 minimum I believe.
