Weak VGA Card?

#1 Post by Phan Thanh Nam » Fri Jun 23, 2006 10:56 pm

My thinkpad' Z60t. Its VGA Card' s very weak (just only Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900). I wonder if I'll buy a Thinkpad Advanced Dock and then insert PCI Express Card in it, that mean VGA Card of Z60t is stronger and I can play some games? Thank in advance.

Welcome to the Thinkpad Forums :)

Well, don't go off and assume it won't run the games right off the bat if you don't tweak the settings. You can still get a decent amount of games to run without having to up the card. Although, if you want to run some serious games (HL2, CS:S, Doom 3, Battlefield 2, etc), you will want a more powerful card and adding a PCIe video card via the Advanced Dock would help. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
