T43 Startup Problem

Hello Everyone,

I am a new user of the forums and of the IBM T43 I just recently purchased from one of my coworkers who left the country. I ahve this strange problem with this notebook. Whenever I power on the laptop, it hangs/ stucks at the IBM welcome screen. It would not let me do anything beyond that point. I cannot access the BIOS, I cannot goto Access IBM and the system would not boot to the OS at all. I tried replacing memory, bluetooth card, wireless card but it does not seems to be the problem. I am running the laptop on power adapter as I do not have the battery for this yet.

Anyone know what should I do?? Please provide some assistance.

I had that same problem because my iTunes kept crashing and then the comp just froze. I dunno about what to do if u you dont have a battery but you can try this when you get one. I turned off my computer and unplugged everything. Then i took out the battery and put it back in after about 30 seconds. then my laptop started workin fine again.
