Where can I find the list for all T60 model on Lenovo.com

#1 Post by mlli4 » Mon Jun 26, 2006 10:36 am

Lenovo.com recently changed the web page. It just provides very few models to select. And one have to choose to customize T60 instead of pre-built models. The customable model forces me to buy a cpu over 1.8G and with x1400 cards. And the default warranty is just one year. What I need is just dual core 1.6G with x1300, 14SXGA and 3 years warranty. Where can I find the whoe list of availabe models on Lenovo.com?

Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.

Tabook

Yes just follow the above link to get the 'tabook' or you can just search on the lenovo site for 'tabook'.. This manual will give you all the specs for the known models. However, I do not think you will see the list of models on the website anytime soon. I just ordered a T60p a few days ago and I called the rep who told me that Lenovo is moving away from the traditional IBM style model listing. Lenovo plans to just have the custom configure page in the future. If you see a model on the tabook that you want, you can try and call the sales rep and see if they still have any available. I wanted a 2623DDU and was able to get one over the custom configured 2613ETU. The 2623DDU also had a better warranty and cheaper upgrades.
T42p: 2373-HBU; 1.8GHZ Pentium M, 1.5 GB RAM, 60GB-7200rpm HD, 15" UXGA,

T60p: 2623-DDU; T2500(2GHz), 1GB RAM, 100GB 7200rpm HD, 15in 1600x1200 LCD, 256MB ATI FireGL V5200,

Tabook is not a bible! It's seems, that Lenovo will not use tabook anymore! Just try to find 2613ECU model in tabook for instance.
T60p coming soon

If this is true, do you know if they'll initiate this practice for their usual August "refresh" date 2006 or await February 2007 for their usual new model intros.?

There are a few models you can't find in the tabook.pdf because those model lines were designed, specifically, for one large, or a st of large, clients. For example, if a business IT divsion wants to order a bunch of T60s for their people, they aren't going to go Express or CTO on it; they will talk with IBM/Lenovo and come up with a new model # for it and they will get shipped. There were a few threads on the forums awhile back that discussed this. As such, there is a very small number of model numbers that don't have exact listings in the tabook.pdf; until they get the model configure working out flawlessly (I tried it and it is apparently still under construction) then they might think twice about the tabook.

For now, though, it does seem like that tabook will hold for the August refresh date; they have given no indication to the contrary either. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

I should have known that christopher_wolf would have a definitive comment to this issue.

Christopher, when the "refresh is promulgated" I think that the MSRP will be what they were intro'd in February...e.g., the 2623D6U were at 1599 MSRP...The equivalent T6X "refresh" should be around that price point, too???

Thanks
